Suleyman Saba discusses his fine tablewares
Amanda Fielding meets South London potter Suleyman Saba.
His simple tablewares are a reflection of his training: taught at school by Geoffrey Whiting, a degree at Camberwell where against the tide he continued to specialise in throwing and further training with Kevin Millward at Gladstone Pottery Museum.
Saba's contemporary clean forms are less a statement of minimalism than a carefully considered response to the market and his love of things oriental and modernist.
