New work from a residency in the china clay pits of Cornwall
Jenny Beavan's new body of work was generated from a residency with IMERYS Minerals Ltd in Cornwall. Vistis to three of the Fal Valley Clay Pits are recorded in diary entries and translated into wall panels that explore the power of water in the landscape. Erosion and transformation is captured in 3D with a variety of making methods including incorporating organic matter and combinations of porcelain, slips, molochite and mica.
