Julia Pitts meets figurative sculptor Jane Muir
Pop Art plays an important part in the work of Jane Muir. Her figures carry the optimism and enthusiasm of the Sixties and reflect Jane's own outlook. Working at a variety of scales her figures are all handbuilt either by slabbing and coiling or from a large block of clay. This six-page feature includes two making sequences. Technical notes give a recipe for matt barium glaze and information on decoration.
