Elegant inlaid porcelain tablewares
Josie Walter talks to British potter West Marshall about his new range of porcelain tablewares, which marries form with line. Marshall began potting in the 70s making stoneware pots at a time of high demand. He moved from a rural to suburban setting in the late 1980s and taught extensively at Harrow. Now potting full time, Marshall's new work is a combination of subtle form and soft fresh surfaces.
Includes details of Southern Ice clay body and transparent glaze recipe (1280C oxidation).
