Claire Curneen's poignant figures
Nicholas Lees talks to figurative sculptor Claire Curneen about her work and inspirations. Based in Cardiff, Curneen's works are delicately handbuilt in porcelain. Initially concerned with an autobiographical focus, the pieces now look towards the narratives of Catholicism, playing on imagery of the Church. Article coincides with a major show at Contemporary Applied Arts in London.
