News

News, a two-page regular aspect of the magazine, presents the latest news and events from the ceramics world, nationally and internationally. Email editorial@ceramicreview.com to tell us your stories, attaching any high resolution images you have access to.

Gallery

CR’s Gallery pages give a visual survey of work on show globally. All types of functional, decorative, or sculptural ceramic works are included. To have a show considered for these pages, email editorial@ceramicreview.com with:

– High-resolution digital images as large as possible, measuring at least 13cm in width at 300dpi.

– Full caption details including maker’s name, title of work, materials used, year made, dimensions (in cm), and photographer’s credit.

– Full exhibition or event details for the work including exhibition/event title, location, and dates.

Please be aware that due to the high volume of submissions we may not be able to respond to you personally.

Ceramic Review is a long-lead magazine, so the earlier you tell us about your show or event, the more likely it is we’ll be able to support it. Find our copy deadlines below.

We welcome pitches for articles, long or short. They may be practical, technical, or experiential, though we also welcome writings that are theoretical and look at the role of ceramics within contemporary culture.

Contributors are advised to send a short proposal with some images. Please be aware that the maximum length of features in the magazine is 1,500 words.

It is good to note that we regularly present stories on ceramic auctions and have a special section inside the magazine dedicated to collectors. CR also presents rich, in-depth profiles on key ceramics makers inside every issue.

Email article proposals to the team at editorial@ceramicreview.com.

Acceptance of articles is not guaranteed and is based on suitability, quality and content of the magazine.

This regular feature focuses on the work of exciting emerging ceramists. If you fit the bill, or know someone who does, contact editorial@ceramicreview.com, attaching high res images and a small feature pitch outlining your practice and recent activities.

You can also catch editorial’s attention over on Instagram using the tag #CREmerging.
