September Ceramics 2024

An exhibition of ceramics by 8 makers from the local area. This promises to be a good mix of domestic ware and more sculptural pieces with something in a range of price brackets for those looking to buy.
The first weekend (14-15th) is 'Meet the Makers', with demonstrations and taster sessions (you can book these through the City Arts website). There's also an 'Up and Coming Makers' area exhibiting work by the students of our local makers, a chance to vote for your favourite work and a ceramics raffle.
City Arts is a hidden gem in one of the lovely old parts of Newbury (it's best to park nearby and walk, this area wasn't designed with cars in mind). It has a wonderful café with homemade cakes and (reputedly) the best coffee in Newbury and a range of teapots made by local makers.
