“Beyond the vessel” – Hand building masterclass with with Adrian Bates

Two day workshop focusing on developing larger pieces, combining wheel throwing and hand building techniques.
We will be exploring different methods: slab building, coiling, throwing and Kurinuki (carving from solid blocks).
Particular emphasis on clay preparation, origination of the base, slab preparation and force drying, joint work and stability through design and troubleshooting.

Just 6 students in group to ensure Adrian can give everyone plenty of support and attention.
