Ceramic Review is the magazine for contemporary and historical ceramics, ceramic art and pottery.
May/June 2025
Klei, 276 Hackney Road, London, E2 7SJ
This exhibition explores Popalini & Jezando’s seven year journey in wood-firing, showcasing pots from the bellies of kilns across Japan and Devon and will include the first pots to emerge from their newly-built train kiln in Devon.
Wood-firing is an ancient, elemental way of firing pottery, imbued with risk and requiring both skill and fortitude.
This exhibition will provide an opportunity to learn more about wood-firing and purchase carefully selected one off ceramic pieces from teapots to large vessels with surfaces that resemble the beauty of nature - from lichens, to the sky at night, to weathered rocks.
Private view Wednesday 30th April 6-8pm
