University for the Creative Arts, Farnham
The Craft programmes at the University for the Creative Arts (UCA) in Farnham, UK, are delighted to announce the opening of applications for the 2025–26 Craft Artist in Residence (AiR) Programme. We are offering exciting residency opportunities in Ceramics and invite applications from practicing artists, makers, and designers.
Each year, the Craft AiR Programme offers selected individuals access to UCA’s extensive specialist workshops — among the best-equipped facilities for ceramics in the UK. Resident artists are given the time, space, and technical support to develop their practice or realise a specific project, with no studio or facility fees charged.
In return, Artists in Residence are asked to contribute to the creative community at UCA by engaging with undergraduate and postgraduate students, offering valuable insights into contemporary professional practice. This might include giving talks, running workshops, providing mentorship, or supporting aspects of curriculum delivery. The residency typically runs across the full academic year (September 2025 – June 2026), but we also welcome proposals for shorter stays within this period.
UCA is committed to making its opportunities accessible and inclusive. There is no application fee, and support is available for applicants who may face barriers to applying.
Application deadline: 1 June 2025
Residency duration: Full academic year (flexible options considered)
