Form and Surface

'Form and Surface' is a comprehensive show of work by two of Ireland's leading ceramic artists, Jane Seymour and Mike Byrne.

Byrne's tall slab-built abstract vessels with undulating wave forms have layers of different coloured slips which are sanded down to reveal a lichen or coral like texture. Seymours moody darker work contrast superbly with the pastel shades of Byrne's work. She etches deeply into the surface to celebrate the nude form, and her fascination with crows and ravens. Her work is coloured with layers of oxides and multi-fired. Both artists ceramics alongside each other together make for a stunning display.

The exhibition is underway but continues until the end of May
