Making Histories: new responses to the ceramics collection

Seven artists have been invited to make new work in response to objects from the collection at Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum. Rupert Brakspear, Dylan Bowen, Rose Wallace, Michelle Taylor, Jon Williams, John Wheeldon and Rhian Malin all draw on ceramic traditions in their work, with inspirations ranging from Roman kitchenware to Regency porcelain. The exhibition showcases the strengths and surprises of this diverse collection, and shows how the history of ceramics continues to inform contemporary practice of the highest quality.
