The Fun and The Fury – Figurative ceramic class with Jemma Gowland

Jemma is famous for her distinctive, expressive and detailed porcelain figures. Her work explores girls' upbringing and attitude. She is using cast doll faces, fired dressmaker’s pins and mixed media.

Boso Studio is delighted to host Jemma at this One Day Workshop. You will learn:
- Sculpting a small figure on an armature, focusing on the stance, using body language to tell the story.
- Jemma’s method for creating a ceramic figure, concentrating on observational skills, ways of ensuring the proportions are correct, and altering the stance to create a narrative.
