Transition Modality

Transition Modality is three series of drawings, teapots and tiles created by Brian Molanphy in residencies at Cloud Forest, Qing Yao and Bei Jiao Da (NTUE, National Taipei University of Education). Flowers, vases and teapots are fluid containers – both giving form to fluid while being themselves fluid — on a small scale reflecting the fluidity of the larger scale of the tropical and mountainous Taiwanese landscape, always in transition through water and culture, through ink & clay.
