Wells Cathedral
Refugee porcelain plates selected as an art installation for the Wells Art Contemporary exhibition. Six painted plates recording the fear and anxiety of the refugees fleeing and clutching their children and their belongings are being displayed in an alcove in the south transept. The porcelain plates are symbolic of the domestic homes they have left behind and the fragility of their life on the run.
